The SW London Gardeners visit me twice a year, at the beginning and the end of the summer season. They always do a fantastic job tidying up the garden, cutting back the plants and also giving advice on anything that is needed. They make a huge difference in the few hours that they are in my garden. They are extremely professional and friendly, and I feel like I have found my ‘forever gardeners’.Posted on Kenzie Horn2024-06-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scott, Mary, and Stuart were absolutely brilliant. They showed up on time, worked through some pretty terrible weather, and gave great advice about what would work in our space and be easy to maintain. We couldn't be happier with our garden!Posted on Ellie Loughnan2024-02-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We chose this company because of the reviews which referenced how considerate and professional this company are, but not even these do full justice to the wonderful team at The South West London Gardener company. Scott and David first took time to listen so carefully to what we wanted, not making us feel rushed and taking all of our requests and hopes seriously. They provided a clear quote within days of coming, and then arranged a date to begin work, all of which they stuck to. Scott, David and Mary then worked tirelessly, through even awful weather, to return a very loved (but neglected and complex) space into a tranquil, beautiful, nature-sensitive oasis. This included removal of huge amounts of garden waste, which they had to do through our flat, and this too was done carefully and thoughtfully. Every detail of work was completed to the highest standard and with care, skill and consideration. The entire team were just a joy to work with. The creativity, warmth and kindness they show, as well as the skill and craftsmanship with which they work, make them stand out to us as one of the best companies we have ever worked with; we won’t hesitate to use them again and again, and to recommend them widely.Posted on Vince & Celia Webb2024-01-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Two years ago we used the Southwest London Gardener Ltd to plan and create a new front garden for our suburban home. We were so pleased with the result that when we decided to significantly change the design of our back garden there was no hesitation in again using these horticultural experts. The process begins with detailed discussions on what one wants from a new garden leisure space. Taking account of the aesthetic and practical nature of the garden, computer plans are produced and provide a starting point for the project. It is clear from those initial discussions that you are dealing with a wholly professional company. Throughout the design and creation of the garden you are kept fully appraised of progress and there is flexibility, on both sides, to adapt ideas as the new garden takes shape. We were extremely impressed with all members of the team and it is clear that the company use personnel with wide-ranging skills in design, structure, and horticultural knowledge. The team members are polite, friendly and respectful of your home and garden. They undoubtedly possess a great deal of pride in their work. Once the new garden is created the team provides detailed advice and guidance on the future care of plants, etc. We are delighted with our new back garden and have no hesitation in recommending Southwest London Gardener Ltd.Posted on David Anthony2023-05-31Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scott, Mary and the rest of the team did a fantastic job with helping us design and landscape our garden. The team were thoroughly professional (yet approachable) and delivered a high quality product. They were happy to amend the original design during the course of the project and were able to offer bespoke solutions to make the most of our space. Would highly recommend.Posted on Priyen Patel2023-05-16Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We found Scott during a Google search and decided to reach out to him after reading some very favourable reviews. Scott put us at ease as soon as we met him - he seemed genuinely interested in our project and keen to help. He also took the time to chat to our daughters, as he knew that their input was important as well - a true indication of how caring and considerate he is. When we later got a puppy, Scott was also sure to factor her needs in... When the work started, we quickly realised Scott only used extremely polite and engaging staff to work alongside - each employee has been a joy to have in & out of our house. Once the initial clearance was done, we kept in contact and he would check in periodically, often over a cup of coffee and contemplating the aspects of the garden that worked for us. He took the time to listen to our views and was always pragmatic in his approach. When we were ready to move onto the next steps, we talked at length about the project, and Scott made many notes and asked for a few days to digest everything we spoke about. His resulting drawings and project plans encapsulated extremely well what we had discussed, with a couple of suggestions from him based on his musings and knowledge of our garden (soil type, aspect, features etc.). As we were embarking on various different projects (garden/garden room/remodelling inside the house) it was imperative that all three teams involved were able to liaise with each other. We set up a meeting for all parties and found each group was willing to work alongside each other in a measured, considerate way. While main decisions were made with each contractor, we set up an email group for communication purposes. Scott in particular, as the man 'in the middle' between the house and the garden room, was extremely good at communicating some of the key dates, deliveries, measurements etc. While much of the garden work in these stages was clearance and preparation, Scott stressed that we should wait until the garden room was finished before making detailed plans, knowing full well that the 'feel' of our space would change once that was completed. It is this patience that I believe sets him apart from others who may choose to wow you with their vision (product placements/plant selections) at an earlier stage. When the garden room was nearly complete, Scott returned for the next stages - the friendly team now also included Mary, Scott's partner. It was quickly apparent that she is a key piece of the Southwest London Gardener jigsaw. Professional, hardworking and extremely talented, yet very unassuming (and an absolute pleasure to have around!). As the gardening works progressed, we discussed freely each aspect being tackled, and weighed up pros & cons of various planting/direction/material options, Scott & Mary provided much guidance during these stages and really helped us make some key decisions. We are just so happy with what they have achieved for us. They kept to their timings, kept to budget (where plans changed, reflection on pricing was done swiftly and fairly) and have given us a dream garden which we are looking forward to enjoying and seeing develop over the coming years.Posted on Rachel Baxter2023-02-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This team are amazing. They designed and landscaped our garden to a very high quality. Scott and Mary had so many great ideas and suggestions which transformed the garden for us. It was so easy to leave it in their hands to create the best space. They were also a pleasure to have around and were extremely friendly and considerate. We look forward to having them back to help maintain the beautiful garden they created.Posted on Matt Lilley2022-11-21Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Scott, Mary and the team did a fantastic job on a complete redesign and renovation of my garden (lifting of existing paving, replacing fencing, installing a deck and astroturf and planting). They were always professional and a pleasure to deal with. I really appreciated Scott's advice in terms of planning the project and formalising a design that would work well in the space. Would fully recommend!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Wandsworth Landscapers
We have trained experts in both hard and soft landscaping.
But what do I mean when I saw hard and soft?
Are you using softer materials, such as planting flowers in a garden bed? Then that’s soft landscaping.
These two forms of landscaping are great, but work best when used together. A wooden pergola sitting at the end of the garden with a lovely green lawn underneath it and maybe even some wrapping plants accessorising it. That’s an example of using both soft and hard landscaping and how it can transform your Wandsworth garden.
So if you’re looking for a friendly local team, then get in touch with us today.
Wandsworth Garden Designers
The design stage of a garden transformation is arguable the most important. This is the process where we take stock and formulate a plan. We take into account budget, time restraints, and work to build the garden of your dreams right in front of your eyes.
Garden design isn’t easy. Many Wandsworth gardens may be lacking in size, and this makes having a meticulously drawn design even more important as we aim to maximise your outside space and fit in all of your desired features.
Our garden design team have been working in this industry for years, and know what makes a great garden. They will get to know you and your preferences, and work with you to formulate a plan of how you want your garden to look. After that, our team can get in and begin to bring your ideas to life.

Garden Makeovers & Transformations
Some gardens just need a tidy. Others need a complete rethink, and if you’ve been staring out at the same uninspiring patch of outdoor space for years, a full makeover might be exactly what you’ve been putting off.
This is the kind of work our team genuinely loves. Not trimming edges or clearing overgrowth, but starting from scratch and building something that makes your garden feel like a proper extension of your home. Wandsworth properties often come with outdoor spaces that are awkward in shape, overlooked by neighbours, or simply never had any real thought put into them, and that’s where a transformation makes all the difference.
A full makeover can mean lifting an old crumbling patio, restructuring the layout, fixing long-standing drainage issues, or bringing in planting that gives you privacy without closing the space in. Our garden designers will sit down with you, get a feel for how you want to use the space, and put a solid plan together before anything gets dug up.
Tidying Up Your Wandsworth Garden
We know how hard it can be to keep on top of your gardening. Especially when the colder weather comes, the wind gets stronger, and the nights draw in.
If you’re planning on adding a new lease of life to your garden then we are the team to help, whether it’s cutting back some bushes, removing green waste (we do this sustainably), or removing dead plants and replacing them with new ones, our team has the skills and expertise to come in and help.
We know that not everyone loves or can care for their garden, and that’s why we can come in and do this for you..
Before you know it, you’ll be proud to show off your wonderful Wandsworth garden.
If this sounds like a service that will benefit you, then get in touch today!

Absolutely. Many Wandsworth gardens are compact, which makes meticulous design even more crucial. Our garden design team has years of experience maximising outdoor spaces and fitting in all your desired features, no matter the size constraints. We understand that every square metre counts in smaller gardens, so we create carefully drawn plans that make the most of your available space. During the design stage, we’ll work closely with you to understand your needs, budget, and time constraints, then formulate a plan that transforms your garden into exactly what you’ve been dreaming of.
We offer gardening services throughout Wandsworth and the surrounding areas, including Southfields, Earlsfield, Balham, Richmond, Putney, Barnes, Sheen, and Raynes Park. With offices in both Wandsworth and Twickenham, we’re perfectly positioned to serve gardens across Southwest London with the same high standard of service and local expertise.
The easiest way to understand the difference is to think about the materials you’re using. Hard landscaping involves solid materials like wood, stone, concrete, and decking – think garden paths, patios, pergolas, sleeper beds, and fencing. Soft landscaping uses living materials like plants, flowers, trees, shrubs, and lawns. However, these two work best when used together. Imagine a wooden pergola at the end of your garden with a lush green lawn underneath and climbing plants adorning it – that’s the perfect combination that can truly transform your Wandsworth garden.
Yes, we absolutely do. We understand that not everyone loves gardening or has the time to care for their garden properly, especially when colder weather arrives, winds strengthen, and nights draw in. If you find it hard to keep on top of your gardening, we can take care of it for you with regular maintenance visits. Our team will handle everything from cutting back bushes and removing dead plants to sustainable green waste removal and replanting. Before you know it, you’ll be proud to show off your wonderful Wandsworth garden rather than avoiding it. Get in touch today to discuss a maintenance schedule that works for you.
We handle all green waste sustainably and responsibly. As registered waste carriers with the Environment Agency (Licence No. CBDU413066), we follow proper environmental procedures when removing garden waste. Rather than simply dumping materials, we recycle and compost wherever possible, giving garden waste new life instead of sending it to landfill. This sustainable approach is part of our commitment to natural gardening practices and environmental responsibility. Whether you need a one-off clearance or regular waste removal as part of ongoing maintenance, you can trust us to handle it in the most environmentally friendly way possible.
